PhD candidate Andrée Lafontaine will have her Doctoral thesis defence on Friday, October 31st at 11am in room EV 2.776. The event is open to the public.
Andrée will deliver a 20 minute presentation on her thesis entitled “Sink or Swim in Liquid Modernity: The Chronotope of the Modern Woman in Early 1930s Hollywood”, and field questions from both the examining committee and the public in attendance. Should Andrée satisfy the demands of the committee, she will have the honour of becoming the second person (after PhD Dru Jeffries) to receive a PhD in Film and Moving Image Studies from Concordia!
