Beth B’s brave documentary reinvigorates neo-burlesque by focussing on the lives and careers of non-traditional burlesque performers, be they cis- or transgendered, disabled or able-bodied, professional or amateur. This transgressive treatment of the parodic medium challenges any notion of normalcy with a flamboyant, eccentric, and playful approach to sex and performance.
