Harold Crook’s film looks at the repercussions of offshore tax havens, used by multinational and the super-rich corporations to “protect” their earnings from being taxed by the countries wherein they do business. Although the practice is currently legal, this inflammatory documentary questions whether or not the practice should remain so in times of governmental austerity, diminishing middle-class jobs, and economic stagnation.
