Reminder: Jordan Gowanlock presenting November 18 as part of Film Studies Colloquium series

Jordan Gowanlock will be presenting a talk on Friday, November 18th from 4-5:30 pm in FB 407 as part of the 2016-2017 Film Studies Colloquium series. The title of his talk is “Tech Dev” and “Look Dev:” The Logic of Contemporary Visual Effects Production.”

Jordan Gowanlock is a doctoral candidate in Film and Moving Image Studies at Concordia and a member of the editorial team at Synoptique: An Online Journal of Film and Moving Image Studies. His dissertation is on the use of simulation tools in animation and visual effects.

Please join us after the talk for a casual reception at The Irish Embassy (1234 Rue Bishop), from 5:30 pm onwards. There will be free appetizers and space to mingle as we celebrate the conclusion of Fall 2016’s colloquia. Everyone is welcome.

The colloquium is an important space where graduate students and faculty meet to share and discuss their research. We strongly encourage graduate students to participate and all to attend.
