For their third movie night of academic year, the CGFSSA presents Good Bye Lenin (2003, DIr. Wolfgang Becker), selected by CGFSSA member Michael Forloine.
“Cold War Germany has always been a big interest of mine,” says Michael. “I really loved how the movie was able to balance its over the top melodrama with genuine human emotion. The numerous cinematic references, both stated and otherwise, are also a treat for any cinephile. I wanted to screen something that was not only a favorite of mine, but also a good movie to show a crowd. I think Good Bye Lenin fits both of those criteria.”
The screening will take place on Wednesday, January 20th at 6pm at the MIRC. Pizza and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Grad Lounge.
